Payroll Deputy Team Leader - Financial Services

Newcastle - £30k + Excellent Package

This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader, with at least 3 years Managerial experience to join a leading Financial Services company based in their busy Newcastle office. Supporting the Head of Pensions Payroll and managing an existing Payroll team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering designated administration activity for all monthly pension payroll preparation and production
  • Ensuring excellent service standards are maintained and delivered to all internal and external pension customers
  • Ensuring an accurate, efficient and compliant service is delivered in line with Payroll department objectives and service level agreements
  • Strong knowledge of developments in legislation and best practice relating to PAYE, NIC, auto enrolment, pensions and other payroll related activity
  • Ensuring all transactional processes are executed accurately and efficiently
  • Effectively managing and supporting a team of 10 employees within the Payroll team

To be successful in this role, you should have had experience of the following:

  • Previous leadership experience
  • Specific Payroll experience
  • High level of customer service focus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Positive, 'can do’ approach to work
