We are currently recruiting for a MEP Design / Package Manager to join a highly respected Construction Business, heavily involved in the London regeneration project.

The business is currently embarking on pre-construction activity of phase 3 of one of their flagship sites in South West London. Phase 3 is a £50 million investment on the construction of a 10-storey commercial building. The scheme is being delivered to Cat A with a high-end front of house reception/entrance lobby showcasing the building.

As MEP Design / Package Manager you will be responsible for managing the MEP package from “Stage D” design stage, throughout design development, tender, contract award, implementation, commissioning to handover.

The Person:

• Experience of MEP system in commercial buildings
• On site experience of delivering the packages listed above.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Must be fully qualified to HNC/HND or Degree level
• Preferred to be Chartered or Incorporated (CIBSE or IEE).

The Role:

You will provide formal comment and approval on all Consultant design information prep, from ‘Preliminary’ issue to ‘Tender’, through to ‘Construction’ and eventually to ‘As-Built’.

Formal comment and policing of Trade Contractors comments on all Trade Contractor design info prep, from ‘for approval’ issue to ‘Construction’ issue for MEP works including:

• Lifts
• LTHW + BCWS and CWS
• Electrical
• Fire Alarm
• BMS
• Sprinklers
• Smoke Control
• FCUs
• Data
• Ventilation
• Utilities
• Gas
• Water
• Elec
• Data
• BT
• UKPS

Responsibilities:

• Drive the process of establishing a robust installation programme, commissioning strategy, and cause and effect strategy
• Establish key deliverables in the MEP design and ensure these are identified in the scope and on the programme
• Comment on the MEP deliverables in the overall project programme
• Closing out RFI
• Chair design team meetings to monitor progress, give guidance and direction on design economy and discuss key design issues.
• Coordinate the design and deliverables to achieve production targets and key milestones
