Senior Quality Control Engineer, Aberdeen, £26-£27.50 per hour, 6 months contract, immediate start

Your new role
Working within one of the three construction sections on a major infrastructure project based in Aberdeen. You will be reporting to the Permit to Use Document Manager. Your job as the Senior Quality Control Engineer will lead and manage a team of five Quality Control Engineers within your section. Your job role will include: checking the that the works are constructed in compliance with the design and specifications, to record these quality checks and to communicate any defects or unfinished works back to the construction teams. You will be required to gain the Designer's written acceptance of the works. As the Senior Quality Control Engineer you and your team will also collect as-built information during their physical inspections of works and communicate this to the Designer to create as-built records, and assist with proposing solutions to non-conformance (defects) to allow the works to be accepted as compliant. Your role as the Senior Quality Control Engineer will also interface heavily with Construction, Designer, and Document Control staff, as well as with the Senior Quality Control Engineers from the other sections, to ensure a consistent approach across the overall project.

What you'll need to succeed
You will require a minimum of 10 years site experience within the construction industry. If your previous jobs have given you experience of supervision within Highways in the UK this would also be an advantage. You will be Site Agent or equivalent level within your field. with all relevant qualifications.
