Currently looking for an experienced Project Planner to work on a long term project which is based in Cardiff. The project will consist of traditional house build and some three storey blocks of flats. Ideally looking for candidates located in and around the Cardiff area.

Provide an effective and professional planning and programming service for pre-contract and project teams which is recognised as such by clients and consultants.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Clearly establish the company has the experience and resources to carry out the project successfully.
2. Identify the advantages for the client and client’s team if company are awarded the contract.
3. Demonstrate a full understanding of the project and clients needs.
4. Assessment of viable alternatives that could give the client a competitive edge.
5. Accurate assessment of site preliminaries including cost of scaffolding, major plant, temporary electric’s etc.
6. Obtaining programme advice from key trade contractors/suppliers.
7. Liaising with company personnel regarding services, temporary works etc.
8. Compare project with similar previous projects & use feed back.
9. Ensure project team is fully briefed and issued with copies of Tender plan and Programme at Estimator’s Handover meeting.
10. Produce/assist Site Teams with:
• Contract Programme with all logic links and critical path (if requested)
• Master Information requirement schedule
• Buying, design and procurement programmes
• Monitoring & Progress reports
• Short term programmes
• Attend meetings with design teams & trade contractors
• Method Statements and site plans
• Production of site information booklet
11. Attend pre qualification and tender interviews as and when required.

• Knowledge of the construction business, methods and technology
• Knowledge of planning techniques and tender processes
• Knowledge of planning software
• Knowledge of H&S and environmental issues
• Knowledge of risk management techniques and value creation
