As an area manager, your role will be to support a group of instructors to ensure the growth of their business; the recruitment and retention of their students in their study centres. You will be based in their Leatherhead office but will cover surrounding regions including Kent and Surrey.

Through regular visits, individual meetings and various other means of communication you will provide hands-on and practical support to the franchise including mentoring, coaching and training them to ensure they exceed their business plans and agreeing targets for growth and retention.

Responsibilities will include;
- Make sure all centres maintain the expected operational quality standards.
- Initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all Instructors throughout the geographical area.
- Provide timely and detailed information to franchises and line managers including; current performance levels, strategic improvements and development plans.
- Engage in all aspects of study centre activities including; conducting student enrolments, and attending and providing support at events.
- Develop, present and implement a full area annual strategy and action plan to senior management.
- Offering franchises advice on achieving targets, local advertising options, centre promotion, improving student retention and growing their study centre, marketing, human resources, finance and logistics.
- Facilitating training workshops, presentations and meetings.
- Oversee study centre closures and take-overs
- Liaise with Regional Manager or senior management team to identify any issues and concerns

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- A passion for and experience of working within the education sector
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A minimum grade B in GCSE maths and English (or equivalent)
- A bachelors Degree (or equivalent)
- Proven successful experience within a corporate environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Computer literate in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- An understanding of learning and development

It is essential that you are a driver with your own vehicle and a full clean licence.
This role will involve travelling throughout Kent and Surrey, but the base branch will be in Leatherhead and so you should like locally to the area.
