What you will do:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Team Leader within Finance Operations. This includes the Contributions, Arrears of Contributions and Overpayments teams. The primary contract is Teachers' Pensions. The Contributions team is responsible for proactively engaging with over 7,000 employers in the accurate collection of over £6billion in scheme income annually. The Debt teams are responsible for the calculation, invoicing and chasing of over £20million in scheme debt annually.

There will be the opportunity to pursue a finance qualification via a company study package and to be heavily involved in phase 2 of our monthly data collection (MDC) project. This is a challenging and pivotal role within the Scheme Finance Department here in Darlington reporting to the Finance Operations Manager.

Essential Skills -

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Acute attention to detail.
Produce high quality and accurate work as standard.
Strong administration and leadership skills with a focus on embedding and monitoring key control measures.
Able to demonstrate ability and flexibility to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads.

Possess advanced analytical skills.

Desirable Skills -

AAT part/qualified.
Experience of CEB systems namely HartLink and AccLink.
Experience of leading a team.
Relevant experience in a Finance Environment including debt administration.
Ability to demonstrate success in a Finance environment.
