Service Helpdesk Analyst – Castleford - £14K-£16K

Summary:
Role: IT/Customer support, helping to support internal users on basic IT issues (full training provided)
Location: Castleford
Pay: £14K-£16K + Performance bonus, Optional on-call,
Required skills: 5-GCSE’s, some customer service experience, strong communication skills, personality, mature and professional attitude, interest in and basic aptitude for I.T.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a passion for IT who wants to take their first steps into the IT industry. This role would suit a graduate or college leaver who wants to get a taste of what it is like to work within a software development company, as well as gain the valuable skills and experience needed to climb up the career ladder.

This role will allow you to develop your technical knowledge of an IT software support environment and learn from senior members of the team to build a platform to push on and progress within the company.

Below is a list of key skills you will need to be considered:

• Understanding of Windows 7/8/10 (Server knowledge would be useful, but not essential)
• Good level of knowledge in MS Office 2010 onwards
• A passion for IT – this is absolutely vital!

The company want people who are proactive, great with customers and have a real passion for IT. So even if you have little commercial experience as long as you can show a good academic track record (i.e. a degree or college course in an IT field) along with demonstrable interest in IT (along with basic level Windows/Office knowledge) then you may be considered. Even if you don’t have an education background in IT, you may still be considered if you have some experience of, and a passion for, IT.

Some key responsibilities in the role will involve:

• Handle incoming calls and accurately log issues with relevant ticket.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and take ownership through to resolution.
• Escalate high impact incidents quickly, in line with procedures and ensure all relevant information is passed on.
