Our client offers a wide range of specialist property services from investment advice, consultancy services and valuations to sourcing sites for development and estate management.

The role is varied but will include the following:

Risk Management
Maintain department Risk Register

Business Operations
General Accounting Practises
VAT & other Statutory requirements
Non Resident Landlord Scheme
Construction Industry Scheme
Property Management Agreements
Duty of Care Agreement
Anti Money Laundering

Internal Governance
Site Income
Cash Handling

Internal Audit:
Work alongside Compliance Controller to review internal procedures for all PM offices.

Regulation – RICS / ARMA guidelines
RICS / ARMA regulation adherence (audit checks).
Preparation and managing RICS / ARMA audit.
Preparation and managing internal client audit.

Assurance Standards – ISAE3000/3402
Review and monitor internal client monies controls.
Work alongside third party auditor to carry out a Readiness Review.
Work alongside third party auditor to implement Type 1 Report.
Work alongside third party auditor to implement Type 2 Report.

Policy & Procedure – Client Monies:
Document, review and maintenance of procedures under compliance team control.
Training documentation creation and maintenance.
Sign-off/approval of general department procedures.

Identifying and delivering internal reporting to the division to assist client management, processes and service improvement.
Assist the Finance Board where required
Assist the Client Accounting Board where required.
User acceptance testing on control reports (SSRS)
Liaising with key stakeholder/teams within the business

In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

As part of the compliance team the individual will be required to assist on the following tasks:
Assisting with Property cash balance reporting - liaise with Property Managers, Client Accountants and Credit Control re key cash-flow problem properties.
Assisting with reviewing strategy on a regular basis; include procedural reviews and implementation of new processes.
Assisting with Fee Management
Assisting with RICS – Service Charges in Commercial Property
Assisting in review of operational tasks

Experience in the Property Management sector is desirable and applicants must:
High attention to detail, well organised and a good initiative level
Strong team Player
Be articulate, professional and persuasive with a good telephone manner and good report writing skills
Show the ability to cross sell other services within Savills
Ability to work with relatively high degree of autonomy with minimal supervision
Be adaptable and above all keen and enthusiastic
Willingness to learn through internal training as well as independently

Numerate and technically competent
Strong attention to detail and a practical pragmatic common sense approach to management
Ability to deal with challenging mandates and coping with a high work load
Excellent IT, problem solving, analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Microsoft Office – Intermediate to Advanced
Excellent management and delegation skills
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communicator
Full, clean driving licence


Salary is up to 35k, depending on experiences. Minimum 3 years' experience in the field

Non-negotiable requirements:
Risk Management experience
Internal Audit experience
Some ISAE3000/3402 exposure would be preferable
RICS exposure

Candidates from a residential property background would be looked at as a matter of priority:

There are 8 areas of responsibility on the spec. As long as the candidate has experience in 2/3 of those (including of course the non-negotiables), they will be considered.

25 days + bank holidays
Would prefer a candidate who can come in and get going straight away. Training would be provided of course, but the faster the candidate can get to terms with the work they're required to do, the better.

Risk Management experience, Internal Audit experience, Some ISAE3000/3402 exposure would be preferable, RICS exposure
