This highly successful Software company are looking for a permanent full time Software Sales & Business Development Executive to work from their Brentwood office in Essex.

The software Sales & Business Development Executive is responsible for finding, developing, and closing new business, positioning the software and related services to ensure the client can see true competitive advantage.

You will be tasked with identifying and converting sales targets, including detailed monitoring of sales prospects to establish a qualified pipeline, and activities including customer presentations, product demonstrations, and closing business. You will also be responsible for coordinating involvement of Pre-Sales staff and Professional Services as required.

Key Aspects of the role

• Maximize potential through targeting prospects, qualifying, conducting customer meetings and demonstrating the product.
• Generate new target prospects through research, networking, and referrals.
• Convert target prospects to sales opportunities by identifying alignment of critical business needs with company's solutions and services.
• Develop proposals together with Pre-Sales staff and Professional Services.
• Work closely with sales management to prioritize opportunities and execute sales strategies to exceed quota expectations.
• Submit standard sales metrics, such as, weekly forecasts, pipeline, funnel, monthly progress, business plans, and expense reports on a regular and timely basis
• Maintain the CRM for opportunity and contact management.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years related sales experience (experience selling software solutions is preferred), strong prospect management skills and advanced consultative and solution selling skills (ideally RAIN or SPIN experience) as well as a working technical knowledge of software components.

You should be a high energy, self-motivated individual with excellent academics – ideally to degree level and show proven leadership skills in both independent and team environments.
