Job Title – Maintenance EngineerHours of Work – 4 Days on / 4 off / 4 Night on / 4 off (12 hour Shifts)Location – Ashby-de-la-ZouchSalary - £43,257 plus overtime (x1.5 Days, x2.0 for Nights)Benefits –Double Matched Pension (up to 10% employer contribution), Salary Sacrifice Share Save Scheme.The CompanyOur client are the UK’s largest manufacturer of Construction Products in the UK, supply Bricks, Pre-cast Concrete Products, Roof and Floor tiles, Chimneys and Insulation Products to the Domestic Construction Companies, plus Civils, Rail and Highways sectors.The business is experience a rapid period of growth and expansion thanks to the buoyancy of the housing market, with their share price leaping up as a consequence. They have been heavily reinvesting their profits into their plant and equipment as part of a business wide LEAN and Continuous Improvement Initiative.Their Ashby site has recently completed a large expansion to the plant, increasing production capacity by 25% and is the most modern Brick production plant in the UK. As such they are now looking for additional Maintenance Engineers to join their established team of 20.The RoleThe Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining all the Electrical and Control systems on the state of the art, fully automated Brick Production Plant. This includes Conveyors, Brick Presses, Dryers, Kilns and Palletisers. The plant is heavily roboticised, handling over a 2 million bricks per week at all stages of the production process.Electrically the Maintenance Engineer will need to be able to fault find using both a multimeter through to component level and on the PLC systems (Siemens S7) through to Function Blocks with a laptop. Once the faulty component(s) has been identified, they must be swapped out. The site carry’s a full complement of spares to limit downtime.The plant runs for 14 hours per day, allowing 8 hours per day for PPM tasks and Continuous Improvement Project Work, which the Maintenance Engineers will be heavily involved with. Engineers work in pairs on roles due to the size of the equipment, with one of either bias per team.The CandidateTo be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:
* Must have a recognised Electrical Engineering Qualification.* Must have previous experience working on automated plant.* Must be able to fault find on PLCs using a laptop
