An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Electrician to join a well known Manufacturer in Cannock who delivers high quality products to their customers.

Whilst working as part of the Maintenance Team you will be providing electrical and technical support to the Production and other internal departments throughout the company. You will be a part of a multi functional Engineering Team where your aim is to achieve key targets, helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

- To carry out essential planned maintenance and complete necessary repairs to keep the factory in good working order.
- To be involved in on-going process improvement throughout the factory developing new ideas and better solutions.
- To develop and understand the machine operation so faults can be diagnosed and rectified efficiently.
- To promote the development and implementation of the factory PPM system.
- To apply application of TPM Tools and Techniques to generate continuous improvement throughout all areas of the factory.
- To apply 5S principles and deliver very high standards of housekeeping.
- Any other adhoc duties would be expected to be carried out upon request.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised Electrical Engineering qualification along with pneumatics and hydraulics experience. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in fault finding and diagnostic skills on industrial plant and equipment. Your understanding of PLC equipment and program editing ideally Siemens S5 and S7 systems is paramount.

You will be self motivated with an excellent team working attitude. Your approach will be flexible to all working requirements with a high degree of Health and Safety awareness.

Great communication, IT skills with an ONC/HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering will be essential to the role.

Hours of work will be based around a 4on/4off, days and nights - 12 hour shift
30 minutes for lunch

Salary is £28,000 to £35,000 per annum with plenty of overtime available
