An opportunity for a Switchgear Commissioning Engineer has arisen in one of the world's largest and most successful engineering companies. The position has come about due to sustained and continuous growth with the global number of employees at almost 150,000.

As a Switchgear Commissioning Engineer you will be required to travel to various sites throughout the entirety of the UK, spending time away from home when necessary.

As a Switchgear Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for: -

1. Commissioning and modifying various switchgear equipment
2. Be able to produce relevant and quality risk assessments
3. Produce full test and commissioning documentation
4. Participate actively in testing
5. Have an active contribution towards customer training

The skillset you'll need to succeed is: -

1. Installation and commissioning of switchgear from 1KV to 132 KV
2. Knowledge of assembly and testing techniques
3. High Voltage Testing - 415V to 33KV
4. CT Magnetisation Curves
5. Strong understanding of electrical safety
6. It is also highly desirable that you have DNO authorisation to hit the higher end of the salary on offer
