Are you looking for your next challenge in the world of warehousing, logistics and supply chain?

Ford and Stanley are recruiting an experienced warehousing and logistics professional to act as Supply Chain Specialist within a growing engineering business.

The Opportunity

The role of Supply Chain Specialist will see you supporting the mobilisation of our client's multiple warehouses based throughout the South. You will find yourself responsible for setting up and organising the layout of goods so that they can operate at maximum efficiency, as well as deciding the inventory profile so the correct spare parts are held in the correct locations. Currently, there are no KPIs in place so you would be expected to implement these and then strive to achieve them. This will be an exciting opportunity to work on a project from the beginning and in to the future where further challenge will come in the form of business growth.

Location: This position is based out of the client's London office and southern warehouses and you will be expected to travel between locations as necessary

Role and Responsibilities:

* Taking responsibility for the set-up of the warehouses for optimal performance
* The setting of KPIs and monitoring performance according to those
* Managing and motivating staff to achieve goals and targets
* Deciding on and managing the inventory profile in accordance with the needs of the engineering teams as disruptions could have major knock-on effects

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a warehousing environment within the engineering or a service sector and experience of working with multiple warehouses at once would be highly advantageous. You will be able to manage people to get the best out of them and ensure that KPIs are met and the warehouses run smoothly.
