Exciting and Varied Part-Time Finance Job, Edinburgh, £22,000 - £26,000

Hays is exclusively partnered with a dynamic SME and professional services organisation based across multiple countries. Their vision is to deliver service which goes above and beyond current industry standards. In order to exceed these high expectations within the organisation, the client is seeking a finance professional to be based in the Edinburgh office on a part-time basis, working approximately 3 days per week, although this is extremely flexible.

Your new role
As the sole finance individual on-site, reporting to 2 company Directors and corresponding with counterparts abroad, you will be responsible for accounts administration from data inputting to monthly Management Accounts depending on the ability of the successful applicant. A focus will be on VAT and managing the payroll of 30-50 individuals. Further to this you may be involved in managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, bank reconciliations, carrying out Credit Control, producing forecasts and maintaining the P&L and balance sheet. Throughout these tasks, you will be in communication with suppliers and contractors, providing advice and information to ensure high quality service and understanding.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of an all-round bookkeeping position carrying out similar responsibilities with a particular understanding of HMRC and payroll-related legislation. You will have proven success working autonomously and the ability to multi-task. Your success will be determined by your organisation and communication skills. A sociable and entrepreneurial business, your personal attributes will correspond with those of the company.
