A new exciting opportunity had arisen for a Business Development Manager to join VOW, focusing on the Facilities Supplies market. This is a growing business area and we are looking for an experienced sales individual with experience within the FS industry who will concentrate on the incremental growth of the facilities supplies category, working alongside the VOW sales and merchandising teams. We are offering a salary of around £40,000 plus commission, car and other great benefits. The role will be home based but requires travel to client sites across the country and VOW offices.

The successful candidate will build incremental Customers, Sales and GP for the FS Category across all reseller channels, lead the implementation of new business for the FS category, particularly in the FS reseller channel and deliver and implement a business development plan for each customer within the defined scope. You will lead negotiations with customers; including financial modelling, feasibility studies, pricing etc.

Working with the VOW Commercial and Marketing teams to gather market intelligence to enable the refinement of pricing methodology for the category for each reseller channel; working with the VOW Commercial and Marketing director to develop effective go to market strategies for each of VOW’s different types of reseller; and working with the Merchandise, Inventory and Operations Departments to ensure supply of goods by preparing annual and quarterly demand forecasts by product line are all key within this position.

We are seeking an individual with specific business development, sales, relationship management and negotiation skills who holds an excellent product and market knowledge and ideally has a minimum of 3 years within a similar role. We require someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, high levels of integrity and a good sense of humour are also key for such a role.
