As a quality engineer for a leading materials developer your role is pivitol to ensuring future success of the rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities
¢ Introduction of process control and generate the foundational documents such as process maps, Cause & Effect Matrix, PFMEA's, Control Plans and Control Charts.
¢ Monitor and manage processes via implemented controls.
¢ Ensuring process capability in conjunction with the local process engineer.
¢ Complete internal and external Non-Conformance Reports through 8D process.
¢ Complete internal and external Corrective Action Reports generated from audits.
¢ Liaise with customer support, customers and / or suppliers when dealing with Non-Conformance Reports or supplier quality issues.
¢ Analyse and regularly report quality KPI's.
¢ Reduce process waste.
¢ Reviewing and generating work instructions and standard operating procedures.
¢ Define methods and equipment to measure a process's quality characteristics.
¢ Evaluate measurement systems.
¢ Assist in operator training were required.
¢ Support any New Product Introduction projects.
¢ Support New Plant Introduction projects

Skills and Experience Required
¢ Proven experience preferred over education.
¢ Minimum 5 years' experience in role (preferred)
¢ Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
¢ Problem solving - 8D structure, root cause analysis
¢ Statistical analysis
¢ Be able to complete a Measurement System Analysis
¢ Ability to self-manage
¢ Customer focused
¢ Ability to work as part of a team or individually
¢ Ability to read engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerances
¢ PC Skills - MS Office, Minitab (or similar)
¢ 6 Sigma (preferred)
¢ Project management (preferred)
¢ New plant introduction experience (preferred)
¢ New product introduction experience (preferred)
