A family run engineering company located on the outskirts of Ipswich are currently recruiting for a Manual Turner to join their team.

This is a temporary - permanent position, depending on experience the annual salary will be between £22,308 - £24,336 before overtime.

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday (39 hour week) with overtime available through the week and on weekends, paid at time and a half.

The majority of this work will be working on manual machines but you may be required on occasions to operate CNC machines as and when required.

Skills Required:
* Background working on vertical/horizontal boring machines and lathes.
* Manual Turning experience
* Must be able to read from technical drawings and work on conventional machines.
* A NVQ/Diploma or apprenticeship in Toolmaking/engineering is required
* CNC machinist experience would be welcomed but this is not essential

This engineering firm have a head count of 9 employees at present, this position has arisen due to a member of staff in the team retiring. Due to the small team you must be a good team player.

* Novar (Italy) Machine
* Butler Elgamill
* Tornando Machine (CNC Machine) Fanuc Controls
* Webster and Bennett machines
* Dugard (CNC Machine)

If you have experience working on any of the above machinery this would be fantastic but is not crucial.

The work will involve the production of small batches and one-off pieces, this work is mainly for the agricultural/plant hire industry, working closely with local companies in the East Anglia location.
