This school has been Ofsted "Good" and has excellent facilities and is a dynamic learning community.
The Science department comprises of a number of full time science teachers and science technicians. There are 13 purpose built science laboratories and 4 preparatory areas. At Key Stage 4 a variety of courses are offered to students to personalise learning: These courses include: Triple science, Double science and Level 2 BTEC in Applied Science. The sciences are both popular and successful at Key Stage 5.
The school is requiring an excellent teacher with the ability to inspire, enthuse and engage learners and will be required to teach science at KS3 and contribute to the delivery of double/triple science at KS4.
There may have be the opportunity of sixth form teaching for suitable candidates.
