This market-leading ecommerce business are undergoing a sustained period of growth. A key part of this expansion requires an energetic, personable web developer to join the team. It's a highly exciting time to join the business and a huge opportunity for the successful applicant. You'll be based from their head office location, just two minutes from the beach and on direct train routes to London.
This role requires full stack PHP knowledge and a desire to grow skills in broader areas such as UX, SEO and design. You must be comfortable taking autonomy and running projects as an individual.
Your new role
The organisation is currently outsourcing project work and wants to reverse this process. Your role will surround liaising with the digital agency and gradually taking ownership of all things development for the company. You'll need a broad understanding of web technologies and will understand the importance of constant communication with the creative teams in the business.
Project wise you'll be working to architect and scale the companies' solutions to support their growth. There are new greenfield work streams as the company diversifies and continues to disrupt the market. You'll have a high level of influence in the use and selection of technologies moving forward but also the growth of the team and recommendations on hiring needs.

What you'll need to succeed
The parameters of the role are not completely set so there is an element of flexibility in the skill set. You will be proficient with LAMP development and will have aspirations to be a full stack developer but aside from this the skills are desirable.
These are broad and cover modern JS frameworks, SASS/LESS, SQL, open source CMS and search/digital/analytics sills.
You must be invested in joining a business with a social, outgoing culture including regular staff events and sports outings.
