IT Project Manager £35-£45K + bonus

The higher education industry is a growing market and my client has established itself as the global leader in higher education services, events, and intelligence. The company is now planning for further strategic growth and they need to invest into our technology projects. They are looking for an IT Project Manager with experience running full life-cycle of development projects and liaising with clients, someone with attention to detail and with strong communication skills, a professional who is interested in applying themselves to an agile project management role. The ideal candidate must have developer experience.

The role will include:

  • Taking Daily Scrums
  • Organising Sprint planning
  • Communicate and coordinate requirements/updates with involved departments/teams
  • Understand and analyse the needs of business and take those into account when making project decisions
  • Breakdown requirements/issues and into manageable tasks
  • Making sure developers have the information they require to carry out their work
  • Deliver solutions that address the needs and challenges of the business
  • Investigate problems or issues reported
  • Validate the business and technical requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of web development
  • Demonstrable experience managing technology projects through full life-cycle
  • Good skills at facilitating client-developer communications
  • Ability to deliver creative solutions based on specific client requirements
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and WordPress
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with various stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear, concise manner
  • Overall interest in the digital space would be very helpful
  • Web / digital experience is desirable
  • Previous technical background will also be useful
