Financial Controller, Global Company, Derry, Salary up to £55,000

You will work for a global company at their state of the art site in Derry. This company is driven by innovative, creative and motivated individuals and they currently have ambitious growth plans in place.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Global Business Services Director you will be responsible for the management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams on site and will work closely with Business Unit partners across Europe to develop support models and deliver effective services. This will be a leadership role, taking a key position in all future activity transfer to the GBS centre. The individual will lead and support team development in GBS, whilst also enabling the expansion of effective process and controls within the European GBS team.

You will expand and develop the current transactional team structure to support the European business, actively lead and manage the future transformation activity within GBS to ensure that activities transfer effectively with minimal business support disruption, develop and implement standard business processes within credit and Accounts Payable groups in collaboration with US GBS team, support the SOX compliance needs and self testing requirements of the group, identify areas of opportunity for GBS to deliver value add and efficiency, support ad hoc projects, acquisition programs and system implementations, develop and manage a team of high. As a Senior member within the European GBS team, define and develop the Business Relationship Management process and interactions to better support customer groups, assist in creating a change management culture, open to innovation and constantly striving to deliver value and efficiency to the business.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CPA) with post qualification experience in a leadership position within a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing large teams.
  • Experienced in leading change across multiple regional support structure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Financial Controller experience in large manufacturing organization would be advantageous.
  • Experience in Shared Services environment is beneficial.

You will play an integral role within this business and will be offered a salary to reflect this. Hours of work are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 08:00 - 12:00 noon on Friday.
