Software development engineer required for our client a leading manufacturer of Electronic Solutions for the autmotive sector . They are currently seeking to add a Software Development Engineer to their team at their UK head office in Devon.

The role will predominately involve the design and development of front end software for our clients products and devices. You will also be assisting in developing the companies future projects. The main duties of the succesful software engineer will be to develop and test software and firmware on various platforms.

You will also be expected to keep up to date with new industry developments that relate to relevant components, software tools and techniques. You will be working alongside fellow software engineers as well as acting as design project lead when required.

It is essential that you have previous experience of Front end software design, ideally. You must have knowledge and experience with C or C++.

Software Development Engineer Position Overview

  • Creating Design Specifications and associated Test Specifications
  • Object orientated design
  • C# and C++ programming
  • Keeping self and others up to date with industry trends and best practices for product/project design and development
  • Maintenance and adhering to appropriate company processes and quality systems

Software Development Engineer Position Requirements

  • Degree in either IT or Computer Science
  • Experience of C, C++ or C#
  • Strong embedded software skills covering the full development lifecycle including Capture, Analysis, Design, Test, Documentation and sustaining
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Software Development Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary dependant on experience
  • 25 Days Holiday + BH
