Mobile advertising company

Company Description

Our client is a London based mobile programmatic advertising company, founded by two experienced Oxford graduates and backed by some of the most successful people in mobile media.

The product, built by a team led by an ex-Goldman Sachs software engineer, uses cutting edge machine learning and data engineering to target advertising at relevant prospective customers.

Although only a few months old, they’ve raised a Series A round of investment, are delivering successes for their first clients and are on track to grow the team by 400% this year.

Job Description

In this role you will be trading online advertising placements and working to optimise towards client performance goals such as interactions, sales or brand recognition. The role of trader is at the heart of our client's business and is a unique opportunity to work with both the commercial and quantitative sides of the business. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate and able to draw insight from large datasets.

As an early stage employee, you will be given lots of responsibility and huge opportunities for growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a trader your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and managing client campaigns

  • Continually optimising toward client goals

  • Internal and external reporting

  • Working with the commercial team on new business opportunities

As you build skills and insight about the trading process, you'll be able to work with their software team to constantly improve their technical capabilities.

The successful applicant will be able to grow into the role based on their interests: whether that be client-facing, communication-focused; or highly-technical work on statistical models and machine learning techniques.

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Highly numerate, with strong maths and analytical skills

  • Willing to learn as you go

  • Happy to take on a diverse set of responsibilities

  • Able to communicate technical ideas clearly and contribute to a team

  • No experience of programming is required. But candidates should have a keen interest to use simple query and scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python).
