We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager for a world class construction company.

As the Quality Manager you will manage and oversee the ISO accredited integrated management systems, with particular focus on ongoing audit, review and updating of the Quality, Collaborative Business Relationships and Asset Management Systems.

The Role:

Compliance Audits
To ensure compliance against the contract through the implementation of a full contractual audit programme: internal, external and client
To effectively manage the output of audits
To manage the external audit programme of client and accrediting body audits.
Management of Nonconformities
To proactively manage the identification, recording, action planning, closure and reporting of nonconformities in the provision of the service
Management of contract compliance and contractual changes
To ensure that any contractual changes are reviewed, assessed and implemented, including updating of the relevant systems documents as appropriate
TASKS

Quality Management:

Ensure IMS is compliant with relevant ISO standards, including process reviews, auditing, and proactive management of nonconformities and corrective actions
Collate and manage Quality and performance data and use to identify areas for improvement
Act as the nominated 'Quality Manager' under the terms of the client contract, providing a first point of contact for the client for the management of quality and compliance
Analyse the root cause of defects and nonconformities, implement corrective action and update Processes with lessons learned
Promote a 'right first time' culture by ensuring all Processes include mistake-proofing opportunities
Undertake training and mentoring of all relevant personnel to ensure full understanding of the IMS and promote the concept of continuous improvement through system development
Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with the general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Management System

The Candidate:

ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 management systems experience
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualified (minimum)
Experience of working collaboratively within the highways industry
Good leadership, people management and development skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to a wide range of audiences
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
Excellent IT skills, preferably including system use and development

Desirable:

Understanding of BS1100/ISO44001 Collaborative Business Relationships and PAS55/ISO55001 Asset Management
