Head Chef - Vale of Glamorgan - Near Cardiff - to £28.5k

Head Chef required near to Cardiff in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Head Chef job is to manage the kitchen (under Exec Chef) of a privately operated country house hotel which includes a rosette standard 40 cover modern restaurant, a separate 40 cover bistro plus a busy bar/lounge and afternoon tea area with addition of outside dining in summer months. Summer months are particularly busy serving between 400-700 afternoon teas per week.The hotel has a small number of guest rooms and also a busy function operation with around 100 weddings per year.

The position will be working under the Executive Head Chef who takes responsibility of the functions kitchen leaving the Head Chef responsible for smooth operation of both restaurants and the lounge and bar outlets.

To apply you should have at least two years experience as Sous Chef or above in busy rosette standard kitchens. It could be that you are hungry to take on your first Head Chef job or that you are looking for a position to further your existing Head Chef experience.
