Operations Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a successful market leading engineering company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their business. They require an Operations Manager to effect change within the manufacturing facility.
We are looking for an Operations Manager who ideally has the following skills:
Responsible for over 50 people in a Production Environment
To ensure all work in carried out in compliance within the Company quality system.
Responsible for all metal machining within Company Manufacturing
Budget control for all plant and consumables.
Responsible for all plant and facility issues
Responsible for all training and education programs within Manufacturing
Assist with CAPA/NCR investigations to improve efficiency of manufacturing processes by analysing non-conforming product issues, proposing and supporting countermeasures
Resolving technical issues within the Manufacturing Department
Assist in the training of manufacturing personnel
Lean Manufacturing - analyse production processes and propose/implement improvements to reduce lead time, reduce cost, improve efficiency.
To ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company and legislative requirements for Health & Safety

Competencies:

Manufacturing/Engineering qualifications - Preferably Degree qualified.
Substantial manufacturing experience at a senior level in a high pressure fast growing/changing environment.
Excellent people skills and in Managing Teams
Project/Programme management and resource planning knowledge
Proven problem solving experience
Good understanding and experience of modern analytical techniques, statistical analysis and process validation.
Process improvement/5S etc
Quality System experience.
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Sets high standards and delivers results
Adapts and responds positively to change and not afraid to try new things
Demonstrates integrity and upholds values and principles
Team Player
Good communicator (written & oral)
* Concentration, accuracy and consistency
