Quality Engineer
Salary expected £20,000 to £25,000 (dependant on experience).

Our Gloucester based client is a prestigious global company who offer multiple services within the Engineering sector. Each service is handled cradle-to-grave by each site; and this site is responsible for prototyping services.

Due to internal movement a new position has been created for the Gloucester site for a Quality Engineer. You will be reporting into the QHSE Manager and supporting the Team Leaders and management team with the implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality standards. You'll liaise closely with project coordinators and production managers to ensure acceptable quality standards for customers.

On a day to day basis you will be involved with:
- effective monitoring and control of workshop practices to ensure they are meeting the required standards
- taking an active part in resolving customer or project-related quality issues in conjunction with project and management staff
- investigating the reasons for quality problems, proposing solutions and taking corrective action
- quality checking daily processes
- conducting the final quality inspection of finished products
- proactively suggesting process improvements
- ensuring the quality department is compliant and audit ready

We are looking for candidates who are time served apprentices/engineers with working experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You will have a sound working knowledge of engineering inspection equipment, tolerancing and standards. You will be PC literate and possess the skills required for inter-departmental communication and timekeeping with tight deadlines.

If you have the above experience but one of the following you'll have a distinct advantage so please highlight this in your application: knowledge of prototyping process, experience of quality inspection, knowledge of ISO9001 within production or trained to carry out internal audits.

This role is based in Quedgeley and offers a competitive salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per annum dependant on experience. This is a day shift working mon-fri 8am to 4pm.
