The Field Service Engineer will have experience working on all aspects of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics (preferred). The Field Service Engineer you will need experience of carrying out maintenance, fault finding and diagnosis on all types of lift trucks. The Field Service Engineer will have a detailed understanding of Health and Safety within this environment.Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel are strongly encouragedMain Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorking to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our clients premisesTo ensure van stock is monitored/counted and sufficient for ther day to day maintenance of the fleetTo carry out inspections and monitor the safety of the repaired and maintained trucksTo accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and purchase requisition and parts paperwork within the required timescalesTo take responsibility for all equipment and tooling (inlcuding van/laptop/tablet etc and ensure that it is in a safe condition for the type of work being undertakenTo work to strict planned schedules and deadlinesQualifications/ExperienceMust hold a Full Uk Driving LicenceProficient in fault finding and repairEducated with an ability to achieve a grade C in English and Maths at GCSEExperience of Health and Safety requirements working in a workshop practiceCommitment to continuing personal and professional developmentExcellent organisational skills, resourceful and solution drivenA high standard of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to multi-task, prioritising workloads to work to tight deadlinesAbility to work independently or in a teamClear communication skills - oral and writtenConsultation and negotiation skillsFlexibility to cope with diverse needs of the postHighly motivated and possessing a resilience to work under pressurePositive, personable and optimistic with a can do attitudeDesirable SkillsRecent and relevant experience (minimum of three years) of working in the forklift truck service environmentEngineering Qualification
