Graduate Electronics Engineer. Fantastic opportunity for a bright and willing Graduate Electronics Engineer to work within a team of 10 in the Engineering department of this electronics instrumentation company. Expanding their existing team they require a bright and enthusiastic electronics engineer who will assist in the design, development and support of state-of-the-art products being rolled out to a global market.

The Graduate Engineer must have a 2.i Electronics degree from a leading university. Any placements or commercial experience would be beneficial but not essential.

From the degree course the Graduate should be comfortable with electronic design CAD packages, assembly & test. Able to read schematic diagrams & have a grasp of analogue and digital electronics. Working closely with the new product design team you will be required to help support the senior electronics engineer in designing new state-of-the-art innovative products.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Specification
* Test
* Schematic changes to board with new design (including PCB layout design)
* Hardware, Firmware and software design for embedded processors
* Maintaining existing electronic products (both Analogue and Digital)
* Document writing of electronic products (attention to detail v. important)
* Support in manufacturing for products including sourcing of necessary components
* Liaising with suppliers

Some key skills that would be useful to have gained during your degree course:

* Microcontrollers (e.g. ARM, PIC)
* PCB, Schematics (Altium)
* Embedded C, Delphi, C++, Assembly or other low level language
* Digital Comms (CANbus, Modbus, Profibus)
* Fault finding and Testing
* Qualification and documentation
