Planning Manager - Pharmaceutical

Location, Worthing, West Sussex

This global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing business has a requirement for a Planning Manager to support project teams in the successful delivery of projects within the Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing sector.

Previous consultancy experience would be an advantage.

The role will include:

The Master Planner will have a number of key responsibilities to the Project Portfolio Team. The Project Controls function must have the appropriate experience in the Pharmaceutical industry

* Maintaining an integrated Project Portfolio Master Schedule aligning with site Capital Ladders for live projects and planned projects for outer years
* Review that schedules are developed as required at the various phases of the Project life cycle and aligned with agreed portfolio master schedule work breakdown structure (WBS).
* Liaise with other Project Team members and external contracting bodies as necessary to ensure the smooth flow of relevant information required for scheduling purposes.
* To ensure that resource scheduling is undertaken to make best use of available external and internal resources.
* To regularly monitor progress against the portfolio schedule and report any discrepancies to the Project Leader.
* Review to ensure that all members of the Project Team are kept fully aware of the status of portfolio schedules by reporting on progress, especially at key milestones.
* To ensure that all activities within this responsibility are undertaken on time to allow the smooth progression throughout the Project from Initiation to Hand-over.
* To manage the Resource Scheduling requirements of the portfolio, using internal and external resources as necessary complete with alignment to resource allowances in the project estimates
* To manage the scheduling requirement of the project where it interfaces with on-going site Operations where appropriate.
* To identify and monitor key activities and milestones on the project schedule for specific business benefits management and business change to interpret Delivery partner's performance
* Be competent to implement and administer Primavera P6 to create the Level baseline programme for the delivery partners to develop the detailed schedules

What we need for this role:

* Experience in managing business relationships at management level
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Relevant professional qualification or Chartered status
