HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Workshop Technician with Class 1 HGV Licence required

£18.00 per hour / £36,500 Basic

Potential Earning to £44,000 with overtime

IMMEDIATE START - Permanent position

HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Workshop Technician with a LGV Category C+E licence driving licence is required by leading waste management company located in north London, to maintain and repair their mixed fleet of vehicles and equipment to meet Company & Legislative Standards.

HGV Mechanic Duties:

* To undertake inspections / servicing / repairs and modifications in the workshop and sites within the Group to the Transport Fleet and Mobile Plant to Company standards and procedures.

* Carry out such other duties as may be required to ensure the continued operation of the Fleet.

* To complete all Company documentation related to service/repair reporting.

* To use and operate workshop facilities and equipment safely and in accordance with Company and Legal requirements.

* Maintain all tools and equipment used in the course of your duties to a safe and acceptable standard.

Person Specification:

* Must be skilled in the maintenance of Heavy Goods vehicles.

* The post requires you to work outside and therefore sometimes inclement weather.

* MOT inspection testing would also be ideal.

Qualifications / Skills - Essential:

* LGV C+E driving licence required (HGV Class 1 licence).

* Time served HGV / Mechanic or equivalent.

* Diagnostic skills.

* Able to work on own initiative.

Location: Edmonton, north London (easy access from the North circular)

* Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 3.30pm


* Basic: £36,500 pa -

* With overtime possible to earn in the region of £44,000 pa.
