Support Worker - Mental Health

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced support worker to join the team of care staff providing care and support work to 30 adults experiencing high and complex mental health needs. The organisation is a specialist provider of support to adults recovering from mental health illness. On the site there are 8 individual houses allowing the individuals supported living style accomodation under the security of a residential service.

The role will be supporting adults with mental health, promoting their independence and aiding their mental health recovery. Your duties would include supporting the service user’s during their morning routine, administering medication, facilitating community based activities, escorting service users to their appointments and signposting to additional networks of support.

The position is full time and shifts are 8am until 8pm 3 days one week and 4 the following week.

You need:


Experience: A minimum of 12 months’ experience working in the same or a similar setting.


Qualifications: NVQ 2, 3 or a diploma in Health & Social Care are desirable but not essential.
