Are you an exceptional communicator with a passion for fundraising? This is your opportunity to join our dynamic and successful fundraising team and make a difference to the lives of local families across Lincolnshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Community Fundraiser with the energy and commitment needed to maximise fundraising opportunities within West Lindsey with particular focus on Gainsborough where you will work closely with our clinical teams based at our Gainsborough Hospice.

You will be part of a great team and work alongside colleagues to create and develop new ideas for involving the community and increasing their understanding of our work and the vital role they can play in making a difference to people living with a terminal illness each and every day. You will lead and inspire communities, groups and individuals to organise their own fundraising activity, you will use your experience, network of contacts and creative ability to make sure we can be there for our patients when they need us most.

The ability to work independently is essential and you will also be required to work collaboratively with the rest of the Events and Community team and the wider organisation

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have proven experience of community fundraising and achieving targets and/or experience of working in a customer/supporter focused environment.

Previous experience within the charity sector in a fundraising capacity is very much desirable and supported by competent office and IT skills.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have access to your own transport for travel to fundraising events and meetings within a broad-based rural setting. In addition to this you will have excellent time management, planning and project management skills, the ability to lead and influence through your written and verbal communications skills.

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice is a local independent charity caring for over 9,000 people a year who are living with a terminal illness across Lincolnshire. With the help of our dedicated staff, and committed volunteers we are able to supports adults who have complex symptoms and pain which needs to be controlled by St Barnabas’ team of specialist health professionals.
