Residential Support Worker – Children and Young People


£8 per hour

We are looking to recruit a number of Residential Support Workers to our teams across Liverpool, which are aimed at protecting vulnerable children. We provide support to young people dealing with challenging behaviour, emotional difficulties, self harm, and those exploring their gender identities. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about safeguarding the independence and choice of young people, who will display empathy and promote positive decision making. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates will have the enthusiasm and resilience to ensure that the children in their care are supported to make the best possible decisions.

Duties include:

Provide care and supportive behavioural management to children.

Develop strong relationships with service users.

Creatively engage children to participate in activities.

Keyworking with designated young people.

Supporting education.

Flexible to work night and weekend shifts.

Preferable Qualifications/Experience:

NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People.

Experience working with young people with EBD.
