Teaching Assistant - Maths - PGCE

For this Teaching Assistant role you will need to be an inspiring and ambitious Maths graduate teacher training who possesses a fun and professional teaching drive. The school wants to recruit someone who has the comprehensive subject knowledge necessary to consistently challenge and engage with higher level pupils within the class.

In this maths Teaching Assistant post you will be teaching within the school's ambitious maths department. Day-to-day, you will be enjoying the teamwork and camaraderie of a close-knit team of expert practitioners. This maths Teaching Assistant position involves enabling your students from KS3 to KS5 to confidently sit their end of year exams with the hope of meeting or exceeding targets.

You will be introduced to the challenges and the expectations of a successful school and you will swiftly learn what it takes to become and amazing teacher. You will have the support of an in school mentor and a mentor from the University of Buckingham.

This fantastic opportunity is available from September 2017 for top university graduates who have/will graduate with a 2:1 or above degree and who are aspiring secondary school teachers.

Beginning the programme in a Teaching Assistant role, you will receive training and support over the 2 years to become a confident, fully qualified teacher, holding a PGCE & QTS.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role you must be a highly motivated graduate, who is passionate about teaching and learning. Ideally you will have some experience working with young people and must have a 2:1 or above Hons degree. (or been predicted).
