One of our clients, a local Authority, based in the Hailsham area is recruiting an Administrator to join their team.

Main duties:

To provide clerical support to staff within the planning policy team including research, data entry, record keeping, photocopying, scanning and filing.

To manage and update a Microsoft Access database concerning land submitted for potential development and associated activities.

To use the Council’s Geographical Information System to identify constraints to development as directed.

To undertake web-based and/ or telephone research.

To produce documents as required, using Microsoft Word/ Excel / PowerPoint and the Council’s Geographical Information System. This may include reports, letters, maps and other items as directed.

To plot information on the Council’s Geographical Information System.

To copy/ Scan and distribute mail and email both internally and externally.

To assist in answering the telephone including taking messages, as and when necessary.

To provide cover for other staff within the service over lunch periods and for short absences.
