We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for our client in Stockport. This is a temporary for a period of around 6 months and is a part time position, for 22.5 hours over 5 days

- £10 per hour
- Stockport
- 6 month temporary assignment
- 22.5 hours a week over 5 days

Duties will include:

- Process purchase invoices, match with orders, obtain authorisation, file paid invoices and make supplier payments.
- Reconcile the Purchase Ledger Control Account with the Nominal Ledger Control Account each month.
- Produce Purchase Ledger analyses, cash flow analysis (from PL) and reports as required.
- Prepare cheque payments from the Nominal Ledger as required and dispatch to recipients.
- Prepare analyses of Nominal Ledger accounts (prescribed list and as required) on a termly basis.
- Complete Journal Transfers as required
- Assist with incoming telephone call handling
- Other general clerical/admin tasks as required

Person Specification:

- Experience with the full operation of a large purchase ledger process
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Calm and “unflappable” with a hands on approach
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with the ability to deal professionally with suppliers and staff – a real team player
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines;
- Good IT skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ideally a current DBS check or willing to complete one
