To support the class teacher deliver quality first teaching across the curriculum
* To support the class teacher, as agreed, with dealing with SEN or BSED children
* To manage behaviour in a positive way, following the school's behaviour system and rules
* To teach a group or individual children phonics, following the 'Read-Write Inc.' scheme
* Follow teachers' planning to lead guided group learning across the curriculum
* To supervise the children for part of the break every lunchtime whilst they eat or play ensuring the school's high standards of manners and social skills are modelled and enforced
* To deal with spillages that occur in the dining room or 'accidents' that children may have, including toileting accidents and sickness
* To lead the children in appropriate games and activities during break-times and lunchtimes
* Maintain and update children's files (paper-based and online learning journals)
* Undertake any duty as required by SLT which support the overall aims and objectives of the Preparatory school improvement plan
