Internal Account Manager

- Permanent, full-time
- 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm and Occasional Saturdays
- Salary: Competitive + Commission
- Holiday: 20 days + Bank holidays

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic individual to join our client's excellent team of Internal Account Managers. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying a professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer service, to build and maintain an active customer base to support the external Sales Team and develop new sales to support the business.

Duties will include:

* Achieving and exceeding margin targets agreed with the Sales Office Manager.
* Taking and processing orders over the telephone.
* Updating the in-house system.
* Liaising with customers and suppliers.
* Supporting field based sales representatives.
* Meeting KPI's.
* Working to deadlines.
* Account management including annual business plans for key accounts.
* Maximising sales by up selling on all incoming and outgoing calls.
* Liaising on a daily basis with your colleagues and updating them on any developments in your work, ensuring a high level of team relationships exist.
* Ensuring that the external Sales Team are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts.
* Providing Management with sales reports on a weekly / monthly basis.
* Maintaining accurate account and customer contact records.

The Successful Internal Account Manager will be a self-motivated, confident, personable and trustworthy individual, ideally coming from a background of B2B sales or a targeted retail environment. They will have a strong background in customer service preferably with sales experience and be a team player with excellent customer service skills.

Essential Skills:

* Extensive retail sales experience within a targeted environment or telesales experience.
* Strong customer service background.
* Sound knowledge of the practical application of a sales department.
* Experience of building relationships with customers.
* Microsoft Excel / Word / Office literate.
* Cross-discipline team working.
* Able to provide evidence of working in a target related environment.
* Can demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations.
* Track record of understanding how to reach and identify prospective customers.
