Clifton College is looking to appoint an experienced and confident part-time Payroll Officer to join the finance department of a very successful independent day/boarding school in Clifton, Bristol.
The payroll officer will be responsible for providing a timely, accurate and efficient payroll service for the College, totalling 600 to 700 staff per month, including month end and year end reports within fixed deadlines. The payroll officer will be responsible for administering the College’s various pension schemes, including the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. The payroll officer will work closely with the Finance Manager, Assistant Bursar and Human Resources team on providing payroll support to the staff of the College.
The payroll officer will be an experienced payroll professional, accustomed to operating independently within an end to end payroll environment for an organisation of similar size or complexity to the College. A good working knowledge of payroll systems generally is essential. A working knowledge of the College’s system (iTrent) is preferable. Experience with the Teachers’ Pension Scheme is also preferable.
