Business Development Manager

Permanent Position

Working Hours: 37.5 hours

Location: UK wide with occasional travel in Europe

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 pa basic salary + benefits


An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager within a well-established, UK market leading manufacturer of engineered products. This is an opportunity to develop your career with a company that is part of a major group.

Job Objectives:

The prime focus of a Business Development Manager is to generate new business through targeting new companies and discussing our portfolio of products whilst maximising the potential of the company. You will work closely with European customers, generating new business opportunities in line with the strategy. We are aiming for double digit growth the target is to increase revenue potential, employing all efforts to ensure the growth targets set are hit, or ideally exceeded. Reporting directly to the UK based Sales Director, your role will involve some overseas visits to both existing and new customers across the European continent. A new role, this offers an opportunity for you to shape many aspects of the position around your own ability to secure long-lasting lucrative relationships with Automotive OEMS and 1st Tiers.


We are looking for a successful Business Development Manager that has a proven track record of excellent sales achievement, with experience selling within the automotive industry. Ideally you will have 3 years’ (minimum) sales experience within an engineering based business. You must be a target driven, self-motivated, ambitious individual that has great communication and rapport building skills. Educated to degree level would be an advantage but not essential.
