Our client in Darlington is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a period of 12 months.
Duties would include:
• Making payment to suppliers
• Investigating and resolving invoice anomalies with suppliers
• Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
• Making inter account transfers as and when required via online banking
• Making BACS and cheque payments to suppliers
• Monitoring bank accounts and controlling cash flow
• Managing expense receipts and record of petty cash
• Dealing with direct debit mandates
• Daily communication with suppliers via letter, email, fax and phone

Qualifications and required experience:
• Demonstrable computer and IT skills
• Proven experience in a high volume purchase ledger role
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Confident with manual calculations
