Senior Reporting Analyst

This is a pivotal role within the Cash Management Operations and Control team. This team is responsible for managing the transfer of money both internally and externally to issuers, shareholders, participants and all other 3rd parties. Our client is looking for a talented Senior Reporting Analyst to join this brilliant team based in Bristol.
The team is responsible for delivering strategic, operationally focused performance reporting and tactical reporting solutions. The role holder will be expected to understand the longer term reporting strategy and effectively using this to derive the day to day workloads. You will be expected to maintain and develop new and existing reports and provide outputs to non-technical audience.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing sound understanding of the process and solutions supported within the team
- Keeping process mapping documents and documentation up-to-date, all processes should have supporting handover notes available so other colleagues, can cover in planned/unplanned absence
- Controls are in place to deliver the reports on time, this includes clear visibility of ownership, Quality controls, authorisation where needed and escalation routes.
To be considered for this role you must have good experience of the reporting domain and relevant tools/technologies. You will be expected to have good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, VBA and Access with a high degree of numeracy. Any experience of SSIS, SSAS and SSRS will provide a distinct advantage over other candidates but is not essential. You need to have a natural analytical ability and an aptitude for problem solving as well as being highly switched on and a strong communicator who can translate technical jargon into understandable dialogue.
