We are an established manufacturing business recently moved to the UK, we manufacture, design and supply to the oil & gas industry by manufacturing drill head parts providing to our clients world wide. We want to employ an experienced Lead Engineer who has the ability to grow and lead a team of engineers on the shop floor at the same time increase the profile of our business and maximise the capabilities of our workshop and CNC machining operations. (this role will not suit a Production Manager whose currently managing an established team and processes in the workshop, it requires someone very technically minded and knowledgeable to build & train a team, be the "go to specialist" implement systems with a vision to grow the organisation) It requires someone who will play the major role in developing the company, who wants to be the lead and driving force of this exciting journey!

You must
A real passion and drive for engineering
Have a hands on approach in all engineering capacities
In depth knowledge of engineering tolerances and disciplines
Technically sound across all areas of 5 axis & turn mill y axis operations
Ability to take a design / drawing and programme machines accordingly with foresight to adapt and change programme and settings to meet the specifications

The detail

Recruit, manage a team but have the technical insight to help train and develop the engineers within the next 6-12 months
Ability to predict and forecast production costs from material to final product delivery
New business development utilise the machining shop with sub contract work brought in
Worked with programmes/software; NX, Hypernmill, CFD stress analysis
DMG Mori 5-axis & Hwaecheon y-axis
Reverse engineering trouble shoot analysis
Cutting tools
ERP SAP & all other computer applications
Have industry contacts to secure and source sub contract work into the machine shop alongside production of the organisations core products

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar desirable

8 am-5 pm (flexibility to meet the requirements of the business)
