Preetha Sampath is recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work for a medical device company that manufacture a prestigious range of neuro and orthopaedic products. The Quality Engineer will be working at their state of the art site in Leeds on a 5 month contract basis.  This client is offering an opportunity to be involved in pioneering projects that are truly making a difference to peoples lives everyday, worldwide.
The primary function of the Quality Engineer role will be to develop and provide quality plans and support the manufacturing operations whist ensuring conformance to specification through manufacturing operations.

The Quality Engineer should have the following skills and experience:
-Adhering to cGMP requirements, and comply with local standard operating procedures.
-Undertaking project work to enable product developments to reach customers.
-Developing and executing validation protocols and reports to deliver robust processes.
-Developing Quality Inspection plans to ensure that product meets specification.

Experience:
-Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (degree or a minimum of HNC/HND qualified or apprentice trained)  along with experience of working in either a medical device or automotive or aerospace industry.
-Process validation experience, IQ,OQ,PQ - test method validation.
-Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering DWG, GD&T.
-Metrology capabilities, CMM, Gage R&R, Gage design.
-Experience of managing projects
