Our client is a specialist in power generation and they are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer.

Main Purpose of Your Role:
- To assist in profitably managing the Edina UK Projects Business, ensuring that the Projects are managed in a cost effective way as measured by the management accounts.

Goals & Objectives:
- Responsible for all aspects related to electrical/electronic engineering of the Projects business and accountable through the Head of Projects and Design for the P&L of the individual projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To assist in managing all electrical aspects of the Projects with the clear goal of maximum efficiency and effectiveness, achieving Projects performance which is valued by customers but at the lowest operating cost in the market place and as a profitable business unit.
- To ensure customers receive good service and to ensure that they are satisfied with the Edina product and service at all times.
- Check and measure supplier's work to enable sign off in accordance with the project Quality Plan and associated ITP's.
- Typically responsible for specifications, electrical design (HV and LV), schematic drawings, detail drawings and equipment schedules.
- Carry out assignments usually on detailed activities within a broader project, relating to the design of generating set installations for green energy through waste processing and for combined heat and power systems. The size of installations can vary anywhere from 400 kW to 40 MW, and are mainly located within the UK.

Experience required:

Qualifications
- HNC/D or degree qualified in electrical engineering, with a focus on generation at HV ad LV.

Knowledge & Experience
- Competent Electrical Engineer with technical expertise in power generation, electrical control schemes, LV/HV power distribution, CDM and health & safety.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in successful technical management and development of Energy Projects.
- Effective IT skills and competent in Microsoft Office Packages and experience using AutoCAD or equivalent.

Special Requirements
- Flexible approach to working conditions due to the nature of projects.
- This role will involve weekend work and possible out of hours work.
- Willingness to undertake necessary mandatory in-house training programme associated with the role.
