An exciting opportunity has been made available for a Support Officer position in the Black Country area of Birmingham.

The role is a freelance contract till the end of September 2017 with the view for an extension.

This is a full time post with the following shift pattern: Candidate must be willing to work a Saturday with a day off in lieu every 5 or 6 weeks. You will work on a rota system of 8:00 am - 16:00 pm and 12:00 pm - 20:00 pm; this could be a combination of three late and two early shifts one week and three early and two late shifts the other week.

The ideal candidate must have experience of having worked with low to medium risk Ex Offenders in a supported living environment.

Candidate must have a Full UL Drivers License and access to a car; at the same time candidate needs to have a DBS on the update service too.

Our Client is one of the largest Housing providers nationally, and they are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their Supported Housing Team.

You will be working in a team under the management of the Housing Management team leader, you will be responsible for the office-based delivery of Housing Management service. This will include dealing with correspondence and telephone enquiries relating to Housing repairs.

You will be expected to Input rent, service charges and housing benefit payment details on the computer system. At the same time prepare and issue rent increase notifications to tenants as well as taking payments over the telephone. and at reception

Part of your role will require you to provide responsive, high quality, gender specific support to service users within a defined geographical area, in order to promote independent living within the relevant parameters, as appropriate, to people released on HDC, bail or other orders or licences from prison or the courts that might have a range of diverse needs.

You will need to monitor compliance with criminal justice conditions and requirements, reporting breach incidents and completion of relevant documentation to statutory agencies.

As a Support Officer, you will be responsible for up to 6 properties in the Black Country & Wolverhampton so must be a car driver & have business insurance as there is a lot of driving. Candidate must be well organised, methodical and work on own initiative. Must be computer literate as dealing with a caseload of up to 20 at any one time.

It is essential that you must also have a good standard of education & administrative skills as there is a lot of paperwork & report writing.

You will be based from home & will be given a Surface Pro laptop, Printer & mobile phone. Must be flexible as you may be asked to cover other patches within the West Midlands.
