Working for this professional and established organisation, the Financial Planning Analyst will support the FP&A Manager to prepare, analyse and present, regular and ad hoc operational information (both financial and non-financial) to allow Managers to make informed operational and strategic decisions. Based within exceptional offices close to Chester city centre, this company are undergoing a period of sustained development and expansion. Award-winning and recognised as a market leader within their sector, the company are looking to recruit a new FP&A Analyst to join the team.

To apply for the Financial Planning Analyst role, you should be ACCA/CIMA part-qualified, with an aptitude for data gathering, checking and consistency. Advanced Excel skills are required, as is the ability to translate financial information into business-relevant terms and opportunities for Directors and Business Development Managers.

Role:
The Financial Planning Analyst will support the FP&A Manager to prepare, analyse and present, regular and ad hoc operational information (both financial and non-financial) to allow Managers to make informed operational and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of weekly and monthly operational reports and Key Performance Indicators
- Weekly and monthly analysis of company activity, tracking the movements from week to week, comparing to budgets and recent forecasts
- Weekly analysis of the movements and future forecasting based on these
- Preparation of the weekly operational KPIs report together with appropriate narrative
- Preparation of monthly summaries on activity for the purposes of presentation by the Board
- Provide support to other members of the Financial Planning and Analysis team on regular monthly reporting and ongoing projects
- Confidently explaining financial information to non-financial personnel to support decision making

Essential Skills:

- Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or similar experience is essential
- Possessing a commercial reporting background and a P&L focus
- Demonstrating an ethic of delivering high performance through hard work, commitment and team-work
- Accuracy and attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales are critical attributes
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, ability to confidently explain financial information to non-financial personnel to support decision making
- Excel skills are essential. Navision or other accountancy system skills desirable
- Flexibility to cover other department tasks or assist as required
