Leading Main Contractor & Independent Developer, based in North London, have an opening for a Contracts Manager to join the team.

Established over 3 decades ago, the company has grown from a small family contractor to become a leading construction and development company in London and the Home Counties. They have a strong emphasis on New Build Social Housing, with the average residential project value ranging from £20M to over £50M

The Contracts Manager will look after x2 projects, one existing development and x1 new development and will work closely with the Construction Director.

The New Development consist's of over 200 private rental units, as well as up to 80 affordable homes and 50 for private sale.

The ideal candidate for this Contracts Manager role will have a stable employment history and a solid knowledge of New Build Residential Construction.

Contracts Manager Objectives:

* To lead the project team
* Provide the direction and co-ordination of the company's efforts to undertake Building Contracts to the best advantage of the company.
* To audit safety and ensure the company's compliance with all current legislation and to promote safe practice on site.
* To audit on and off site quality of product and ensure compliance with the contract specification.
* To audit progress and ensure completion of all projects within the time constraints determined by the building contract.
* To audit the site administration and ensure compliance with the company's definition of responsibilities for site management and supervisory staff.
* To audit information flow and ensure performance under the building contract.
* To audit buildability and ensure that the company's reputation for problem solving is furthered at all times.
* To audit the commercial return from each project and ensure that the predetermined project budgets are achieved.
* To audit all project reports and ensure that the accuracy of reporting demanded by the company's standard procedures is achieved.
* To ensure that the subcontract market-place is continually researched to identify organisations with whom the company is prepared to do business.
