Work as a Teaching Assistant, gaining knowledge on how the school operates. You will have the chance to get to know the students, teachers and leadership team. You will be working 1:1 with students, helping to plan lessons and becoming involved in all aspects of school life!

As you progress you will then be responsible for a 50% timetable, observing lessons and preparing yourself for the second year.

You will take an 80% timetable as a Trainee Maths Teacher, attend courses at Buckingham University through half terms, be observed by your school mentor and be given support by your academic mentor. As a Trainee Maths Teacher, you will be working towards gaining your PGCE at the end of the year.

Person Specification

If you are applying for this Trainee Maths Teacher role, you will need the following to be considered:

***Maths Degree or a degree in a similar subject
***‘C’ Grade at GCSE English, Maths and Science
***Some prior experience working with children
